We recently heard from an EcoChallenge participant from this past October who made our day.
Need a refresher on our annual EcoChallenge? For two weeks every October, we challenge all citizens of Earth to change one habit that benefits both you and the planet. It’s a win-win that’s designed to inspire a lifetime of positive change.
Chantal, a business owner here in Portland, reached out to tell us how she sold her car a few months ago in favor of a cargo bike. She continued: “I don’t know if I would have thought it was possible to be car-free if it wasn’t for my experience with the EcoChallenge!”
Today, Chantal still borrows a friend’s car when she has especially large loads of groceries for her restaurant, but that was never quite the point. The beauty of the EcoChallenge is the spark of excitement and connection you feel when you begin to see what’s possible—and have the renewed confidence to act on what’s important to you.
EcoChallenge 2014 is fast approaching, and we encourage you to sign up for registration! Not only is it free to participate, but I promise that you will regret it even less than I regret eating that pint of vanilla Häagen-Dazs last night. Man that stuff is good.
