I am using Global Warming: Changing Course in the Climate Science course I am currently teaching (100-level college course). I wrote up a sample lesson plan that is similar to what I am doing in case it sparks ideas with other educators! We use the discussion course during our lab section as a supplement to the more-traditional quantitative lab activities when we have ~45 min – 1 hr of extra time.

If you are interested, feel free to use this lesson plan (or the parts that you think will work best in your classroom). I am curious to see how this works – so if you find that some things worked (or didn’t work) – let me know!! So far I have found that this course is a great way to make the science of climate more relevant to students and I hope it will also inspire them toward action.
