It isn’t too late to register for NWEI’s first-ever online discussion course, beginning next week on Wednesday, June 3rd at 12pmPST/3pmEST! Over the past few years we have been offering online versions of our discussion courses for organizations and now we’re excited to bring this opportunity to the broader NWEI community. For the first time ever, we are offering a three-session online discussion course, open to the public, drawing from our Seeing Systems: Peace, Justice and Sustainability coursebook. We’ll be meeting online for three hour-long sessions where we’ll connect the dots between three of society’s most pressing challenges – peace, justice and sustainability – and consider pathways for powerful change in our everyday lives.
In this three-session online course you will:
- Be introduced to values, visions, and practical actions you can take toward a more peaceful, just and sustainable world.
- Become aware of entrenched values and assumptions that reinforce destructive practices and unhealthy systems.
- Develop systems thinking skills, which allow you to see the connections between and promote peace, justice and sustainability.
- Be inspired to become more of a leader toward peace, justice and sustainability in your own community and spheres of influence.
We’ll meet for three consecutive weekly sessions online, beginning Wednesday, June 3rd at 12pm (PST). All you will need to participate is the Seeing Systems course book, a computer with internet access, and a phone or computer headset. This is a great opportunity for those who have always wanted to participate in an NWEI course but haven’t yet been able to organize or join one. We hope you will join us!
