We’re excited to bring this opportunity to the broader NWEI community this June! For the first time ever, we are offering a three-session online discussion course, open to the public, drawing from our Seeing Systems: Peace, Justice and Sustainability coursebook.
Participants in this course will connect the dots between three of society’s most pressing challenges – peace, justice and sustainability – and consider pathways for powerful change in our everyday lives. You’ll learn about what it means to co-create peace and sustainability in the midst of conflict, as well as how to apply systems thinking skills in order to take action.
- Be introduced to values, visions, and practical actions they can take toward a more peaceful, just and sustainable world.
- Become aware of entrenched values and assumptions that reinforce destructive practices and unhealthy systems.
- Develop systems thinking skills, which allow them to see the connections between and promote peace, justice and sustainability.
- Be inspired to become leaders toward peace, justice and sustainability in their own communities and spheres of influence.
We’ll meet for three consecutive weekly sessions online, beginning Wednesday, June 3rd at 12pm (PST). All you will need to participate is the Seeing Systems course book, a computer with internet access, and a phone or computer headset.
